Quantum Antenna Consortium: Quantum Sensing for Radio Signals

Areas of Interest: Developing a breakthrough technological infrastructure for sensing electromagnetic fields using the quantum properties of Rydberg atoms. The consortium aims to replace traditional, bulky antenna arrays with a unified, compact quantum sensor capable of receiving ultra-weak signals across an extremely wide frequency range (MHz – THz) without the need for multiple antennas or complex RF components.

Consortium Model: Led by Elbit Systems C4I & Cyber, in collaboration with Wafer-Tech, Phantom, Sensorz, and Accubeat, alongside research groups from the Weizmann Institute, Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, and Ben-Gurion University.

Deadlines: June 4, 2026.

Embody.AI Consortium: Foundational Models for the Physical World

Areas of Interest: Developing the next generation of AI models that transition from human-data reliance to physical experience. The consortium focuses on creating an innovative architecture for learning, perception, and behavior, enabling autonomous systems to operate safely in complex, real-world environments.

Consortium Model: Led by a group of industry leaders, including Elbit Systems, Cogniteam, and Cognata, in collaboration with researchers from TAU, Haifa and Bar-Ilan Universities.

Energy & Advanced Manufacturing, U.S.-Israel Energy Center (BIRD Foundation)

Areas of Interest: Innovative energy technologies via bilateral collaboration. Priority Areas: Energy Storage, Fossil Energy, and Energy-Water Nexus. Consortium Model: Must include at least one industrial company and one research institution from each country (min. 4 partners).
Funding: * Up to $6M per consortium for 3 years (potential for $3.2M extension for 2 additional years). Funding covers up to 50% of the project budget.
Project Scope: 3-year R&D program transitioning from applied research to initial marketing/sales.

Open Call: 3D Bonding Consortium – Israel Innovation Authority (Magnet)

Areas of Interest: Development of advanced infrastructure for Hybrid Bonding (Wafer-to-Wafer and Die-to-Wafer) and Heterogeneous Integration. Key focus areas include Si-Si and Ge-Si bonding for sensing and photonics, integration of III-V devices (InP, GaAs, GaSb) on Silicon, Silicon Photonics optical coupling, Advanced Packaging (Co-Packaged Optics, Chiplets), and the development of metrology and process control tools for bonding quality.
The Consortium: A high-profile collaboration including Nvidia, Applied Materials, Tower, SCD, Nova, Teramount, TriEye, and Quantum Source, alongside leading academic research groups.
Funding: Academy: Grant covering 80% of the approved budget from the IIA, with an additional 20% provided by the industrial partners (100% total funding for applied research). Industry: Grant covering 66% of the approved budget.

Open Call: EP PerMed Partnership (RITC 2026) – Israel Innovation Authority & EU

Areas of Interest: Personalized Medicine and Sustainable Healthcare Systems. The call focuses on managing patients with multiple chronic conditions using multi-modal data for diagnosis, remote monitoring, treatment decision support, and adherence to long-term therapies. Projects must foster collaboration between academia, clinicians, and industry (including SMEs), and be validated in realistic environments (hospitals, community clinics, or virtual settings) with a clear data usage strategy.
Funding: Industry- Grant covering 66% of the approved budget. Academy- Grant covering 80% of the approved budget (Israeli industry partner must finance an additional 10%, bringing total funding to 90%).
