Dr. Or Perlman is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University, where he heads the Molecular MRI and Translational Machine Intelligence (MOMENTUM) lab. He completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the Technion with a dissertation on the “Investigation of Multimodal Methods for Detection and Imaging of Nanoparticles” and a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.

Dr. Perlman’s research focuses on molecular MRI and artificial intelligence applications in medical imaging. His lab explores the molecular mechanisms underlying brain disease and develops methods for early diagnosis and therapy optimization, with applications in cancer, stroke, and neurodegenerative disorders. His work centers on developing AI-based methods for automatic MRI acquisition protocol discovery and quantitative molecular parameters reconstruction, particularly in CEST MRI and deep learning approaches for medical imaging.
