Research was constantly supported by grants obtained from the “Binational Science Foundation,” (BSF), “Israeli Academy of Sciences,” (ISF), “Binational Agricultural Research and Development,” (BARD), “German Research Foundation (DFG) for trilateral  cooperative research between Israeli, Palestinian and German Scientists”, “USAID-CDR” (including cooperation with  Kazakhstan), “Agency for International Development, U.S.A”, (with Dr. Albert Afosu Asiedo – Ghana), “Israeli Ministry of Science” (including cooperation with Ukrine).

Committees (partial list):
I had served as a member or a chair of numerous faculty, national and international committees including ISF (Israeli Science Foundation) commities, BARD (Binational, the “American Phytopathological Society Awards and Honors Committee (1999-2001).” (Chair-2001), Organizing Committees for International Symposia (e.g., Bat Sheva Senminar for host-fungus interactions, Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of BARD, a member of the “20 Years Review Committee of BARD”,   Member and a chair of the “Committee for Promotion of scientists from government research institutes”.

Teaching:
22  graduate students for a Ph.D. degree and 32 for M.Sc. degree have  completed their research in my laboratory. I have taught the following courses during the last 25 years prior to retirement: “Physiology of Fungi”, “Biology of Plant Pathogenic bacteria and Fungi” “Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions” (advanced course). “Molecular aspects of Pathogenicity and symbiosis during the interaction between bacteria and plants” (advanced course).
