PBLab- The laboratory for neurovascular coupling
The lab focuses on uncovering the dynamics and cellular processing governing neurovascular coupling under healthy and pathological conditions
Specific Research interests/topics:
• Neurovascular coupling
• Multiphoton imaging
• Ischemia, gray matter vascular occlusions
• Microglia and neuro-immune responses
Research methods:
• In vivo imaging methods: two-photon microscopy, wide-field calcium imaging, MRI.
• Novel spatial decision making automated task
• Whole-brain cleared tissue imaging.
Main projects in the lab include:
1. Decoding the neurovascular transform function
2. Determining the role of lipid droplets in stroke outcome
3. Spatial decision making
4. Volumetric multi-photon imaging.
Lab Facilities and capabilities:
The PBlab has extensive experience performing in vivo brain imaging, including measuring neuronal dynamics, blood flow, microglia-tumor interactions and other.
We provide a unique approach for longitudinal pharmaco-kinetics, directly measuring particle transfer across brain compartments, from the blood stream to the parenchyma on the same animals over hours or dyas.
Available Research Services:
1. In vivo brain imaging
2. In vivo pharmacokinetics
3. In vivo Blood-brain-barrier permeability assays
Potential industries:
1. Pharma
2. Biotech
