3D Multi-Sensory Platform for Advanced In Vitro Models
UNMET NEED
As biological models continue to evolve from traditional 2D cultures to complex 3D tissues, organoids, and bioprinted constructs, there is a growing need for sensing technologies capable of monitoring functionality within these physiologically relevant systems. Current sensing platforms, including conventional MEA and TEER systems, are largely limited to two-dimensional measurements.
OUR SOLUTION
Researchers at Tel Aviv University have developed a customizable 3D sensing platform that enables monitoring of advanced in vitro brain and neurovascular models. The platform combines electrophysiological recording and barrier-function measurements within a single system and can be adapted to various organoid, neurovascular, and bioprinted tissue configurations.
APPLICATIONS
- Brain organoid research
- Neurovascular Unit (NVU) and Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) models
- Drug discovery and neurotoxicity testing
- Tissue engineering and bioprinting platforms
- Advanced in vitro disease models
