Development of a Biological Safe Anti-Candida Agent for the Treatment of Denture Stomatitis

UNMET NEED
● Denture stomatitis is a common form of oral candidiasis afflicting according to some reports up to 65% of dentures wearers.
● Current treatments are based on toxic chemical agents and are non-effective.
● Ani candida solution can be extended towards a broad range of other indications.

Treating denture stomatitis holds clinical and patient-related significance. Firstly, denture stomatitis can cause discomfort and pain, leading to difficulties in speaking, eating, and wearing dentures, thereby affecting the overall quality of life. Furthermore, denture stomatitis is associated with an increased risk of systemic infections, as oral candidiasis can serve as a source of dissemination for pathogenic microorganisms. Effective treatment can alleviate these symptoms, improving oral health and restoring normal oral function.

OUR SOLUTION
● “Green” biological solution based on a natural protein that exists in the saliva.
● Promising preliminary results supporting further development.
● Efficient production of the protein via bacterial fermentation.
