Gene Expression for Improved Crop Pproductivity

Enhancing crop productivity by optimizing gene expression in plants, using proprietary and proven computational tools, together with genome base editing capabilities.
Tapping into gene expression for improved crop

UNMET NEED
Crop productivity needs to substantially increase to meet global food and feed demand for a rapidly growing world population. Agricultural technology developers are pursuing a variety of approaches based on both traditional technologies such as genetic improvement, pest control and mechanization as well as new technologies such as genomics, gene manipulation and environmental modelling to develop crops that are capable of meeting growing demand.

OUR SOLUTION
Proprietary, cutting edge platform for gene expression engineering, to be applied via genome editing tools.
Outcome: yield-impacting variations for dominant traits.

Proprietary capabilities to predict precise sequence modifications;
– mRNA translation: identifying & resolving ribosomal “traffic jams”
– Computational optimization pipeline (dozens of algorithms)
– Genome base editing capabilities – apply silence mutations to protoplasts via genome editing

APPLICATIONS
Creating a proprietary knowledge hub impacting dominant traits via gene expression manipulation for broad crop applications.

STATUS
POCs in various cellular systems:
– Ribosomal traffics jams (e.g.: 50% human Ab level increase in yeast);
– Protein expression: various microorganisms (e.g. x200 fold human hormone level increase in algae);
– Engineered viruses: multiple examples of improved growth rates (e.g. x10 fold increase in virus titration).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
– METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DESIGNING POLYNUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCES AND POLYNUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCES OBTAINED THEREBY
– METHODS FOR IMPROVING THE GROWTH RATE OF A CELL
